CHRISTIANITY
Believes Jesus is the Messiah and Savior; heaven can only be accessed through Him, the son of God.
Three branches: Protestant, Roman Catholic, Eastern Orthodox
All Scripture alone is the final authority in all matters of faith and practice. Scripture itself
testifies that it is complete in what it reveals and the standard and final authority on all matters
of doctrine, faith and practice.Roman Catholic:
Accepts 66 books of old and new testaments of the Bible and the Apocrypha as
inspired word of God; plus church tradition is equally authoritative.Eastern Orthodox:
Accepts 66 books of the Bible as inspired revelation;
plus church tradition is equally authoritative.
ISLAM
Understanding Islam and Muslims
Muslims believe in one, unique, incomparable God;
in the Angels created by Him; in the prophets
through whom His revelations were brought to mankind;
in the Day of Judgement and individual accountability
for actions; in God's complete authority over human
destiny and in life after death.Muslims believe in a chain of prophets
starting with Adam and including Jesus.
But God's final message to man was revealed to the
Prophet Muhammad through Gabriel.
